You need to fill your plate with 1 3rd super free food. So salad veg etc. Have fruit and veg for snacks. I do yes i eat loads of salad with my meals. Cutting out junk etc would indeed work. But to be perfectly honest it is so unrealistic. I love food! Good food. And the idea of just eating chicken and veg for every meal every day sounds so depressing. Isnt everything ok in moderation? I may need to cut down on my carbs but i dont think to cut them out completly. You said that you think carbs aren't great for your body so doing the red plan would make you limit your intake of these but you can still enjoy some.
Also, make sure you're eating your syns every day and drinking plenty of water. It's hard to tell of you're following the plan properly from what you've written. I'm sure if you wrote down everything that passes your lips for one day on here then lots of people would offer advice.
